Pretreatment
Ultrasonic Degreasers
These are alkaline soaps (mainly in liquid form), used in Ultrasonic Machines, and are appropriate for removing the polishing pastes, oils etc from articles made of Gold, Silver, Steel, Aluminium, German Silver (Alpaka), Zinc die Cast.
They should be diluted in water to form aqueous solutions of 2-3 %. Working Temperature : 60-80 degrees Celsius.
Soak Cleaners
These are alkaline soaps, which are diluted with water (5%) and at working Temperature 60-70 degrees Celsius remove polishing pastes, oils etc. from items made of Gold, Silver, Brass, Copper, Steel, Aluminum, Zinc die Casting.

Pickling
- Additives, which are mixtures of inorganic and organic acids, appropriate surface-actives substances and inhibitors, and remove the surface oxidation from articles made of Copper, Brass, Steel, Aluminium alloys, Stainless steel etc
- Degreasing Additives : added in small amounts in acid pickling solutions (usually based on Hydrochloric Acid)and help the degreasing of the articles.
- High Efficiency Inhibitors : added in acid pickling solutions and protect the metals from etching.
- Suppressing Acid Fumes Additives: added in acid pickling solutions with Hydrochloric Acid and reduce the escape o Hydrochloric Acid vapours into the atmosphere.
Electrolytic Degreasing
This electrolytic step is applied before electroplating and is precondition for an excellent quality and good adhesion of metal deposition.
The substrate determines if cathodic or anodic degreasing should be applied.
