Hot Dip Galvanizing
Hot-dip galvanizing is the process of coating iron and steel with a layer of zinc by immersing the metal in a bath of molten zinc at a temperature of around 450°C.
Our company, KAPLANOGLOU S.A., undertakes the supply of whole Hot-dip galvanizing lines, equipment as well as chemicals.

Acid Degreasing
Our companies offers acid Degreasing Products, appropriate for the pretreatment of Steel items before Hot Dip Galvanizing.
These are mixtures of mixtures of acids, appropriate surface-actives substances and inhibitors, which remove oil, fat and paraffin from the metal surface.
These oils are emulsified and accumulated at the bottom of the tank of acid degreasing.
The inhibitors, that these products contain, protect Steel from etching .
Soak Cleaners
These are alkaline soaps, which are diluted with water and at working Temperature 60-70 degrees Celsius remove polishing pastes, oils etc. from Steel items.
Pickling Additives
Our company can provide products which are added to pickling solution, based on Hydrochloric Acid or Sulfuric Acid and ameliorate steel pretreatment.
- Degreasing Additives
added in small amounts in acid pickling solutions (usually based on Hydrochloric Acid)and help the degreasing of the articles.
- High Efficiency Inhibitors
-These are added in acid pickling solutions and protect Steel from etching
-Elongate the life time of pickling solutions
- Suppressing Acid Fumes Additives
-These are added in acid pickling solutions with Hydrochloric Acid and reduce the escape o Hydrochloric Acid vapours into the atmosphere
-Protect metallic parts in working area against corrosion
-Improve working conditions
Flux
Crystallized or even anhydrous powder.
Passivation – Polymer
We can provide passivation products (polymer), specifically designed to protect hot dip galvanized steel items against white rust corrosion.
It offers an environmental friendly alternative to products based on formulations, that contain fluoride, chromium and other heavy metals.
Typical coating weights have weight: 0,4-0,8gr/m2.
The galvanized steel coming from the zinc bath is dipped directly, after galvanizing, in the passivation bath.
